I opened the fridge this morning and there's all this food stacked in there with my name on it. Even says how long to cook it for. Huh. Thanks, whoever that was.
Got a pretty interesting call, too. Seems Karasu liked me. Way cool.

Roommate's okay. Really quiet.
Fuck, this game's addicting. And I thought EVE Online was going to suck ass, but it's not too bad. Gives me a chance to practice my English, and talk to guys who like more things than fashion and makeup. What the fuck's up with that?

And the idiots keep streaming in to the shop. Thought they'd disappear when exams ended, but no. Had to clear a virus off of a computer-no big deal, but the guy asked me if he had to let his computer rest for a couple of days to "make sure it was feeling better." It's a piece of machinery, you twit!
Taking a few CS courses this summer. Maybe I should just make it a double major.
Yo, Akazawa dude. You still want the ride?

I might change my major to Computer Science. I have enough time.
Still need to unpack at some point.

Dropped by the shop this weekend to see how my car's looking. It sucks not having one, but it's starting to look sweet. Muro, your crew rocks! I got another discount because, as the engine guy put it, "not being stupid and actually using the car." When's Karasu going out again, anyway?
I need to dye my hair again. And I don't need your help, Kouhei. You can go back to pretending you're a girl.I'm supposed to be getting a new case in today. I'm thinking about fucking around and modding the shit out of it. I've seen some kickass mods. Heh, it's better than unpacking my shit.

I finally saved up enough to get more work done on my car. Sweet. There's still more improvements I want to make, and then I've got to finish getting the bodywork done. Still dented from Kou's adventure. You don't drive into lightpoles, moron. So another note from the People Shouldn't Own Computers File:
Woman came in today, complaining that her laptop's mouse was broken because it couldn't make up and down movements. Brand new laptop, just bought it from us. And there's been complaints about that mouse before. So okay, no problem. I hook it up to her laptop and test it, fine. So I give it to her to test.
She tells me again that it's not working for up or down movements.
...Because to move the cursor up, she was literally LIFTING THE MOUSE INTO THE AIR.
Morons.

This stupid fucking roommate of mine is EATING my computers! I have a lot of electronics, and they're expensive and breakable. I don't need this creep trying to break them!

Uggh. Kouhei, I can't do lunch tomorrow. Thanks to this bitch, I have to work overtime. I have a hard drive to salvage.

People are stupid and should not be allowed around computers. Normally I deal with basic stuff-installing memory, new motherboards, and troubleshooting. Mindless crap. And then I have people come in like the guy I had today. He brings in this laptop and drops it on the counter and complained that his keyboard isn't working. Conversation went something like this:
Me: (turning the computer on) Okay, so what's the problem with the keyboard?
Man: It won't let me type in my password. (gives password to me)
Me: (puts it in, works just fine) Sir, it just let me into the system. Are you sure that you're not typing it in wrong?
Man: No, I'm doing it right! But whenever I type in my password, it's just little dots!
Me: ...That's a security precaution, sir. When you type your password, it shows up as asteriks or dots so that anyone else in the room can't see what you're typing.
Man: Stupid computers.
Me: (thinking) ....Wrong stupid.
Today was filled with morons like this guy. Ugh. Someone kill me.

Anyone here game? I'm dying for a LAN party, maybe oldschool style. I haven't played Counter-Strike on a LAN in forever.
Kouhei, bring me that laptop kit back and I'll start building it. Your old one is killing me. Besides, I'm waiting for parts on my desktop to finish that up. New external HD, though. So excited!

I got a brand-new job. No more working at that godawful coffeehouse. Instead, I'm working in a computer repair shop near Higashi. Still building them too, as long as youpay for the parts. I have a laptop kit that mysteriously became free, if anyone wants to take me up on that.
Thursday is going to suck. Luckily I have enough alcohol to choke a cow. But none of that girly shit that everyone seems to love around here. Good god, does anyone drink hard drinks, or is it just spiked coffee all around?
Going out this weekend. Don't know where. I'm just getting the hell out.

Dammit, I'm bored as hell tonight! Nothing to do while Kouhei runs off with his flavor-of-the-minute. They shipped me the wrong motherboard, stupid fucking suppliers. I need to learn how to make my own.
Guess I'm heading to Den Den Town to pick up broken electronics to fuck around with the guts, maybe get ideas for case modding. No crappy techno. overpriced drinks, and drunken salarymen thinking I'm a girl and hitting on me. I have the internet and some good beer, at least.
Fuck. Another night in. BORING.

So I've decided on a quad-core processor and 2 GB memory-but I'm using 2 1 GB sticks for when I want to upgrade again. I'm still choosing a good motherboard, and I think I want to fuck around with case mods. I saw this kickass steampunk case, but that's not really my style. And 25" LCD, or should I go dual screen?
I want to use Linux for the OS, but I need to find one that's Japanese-based. Maybe Red Hat has language options. I don't want to use Vista, that sucks.
Heh, building your own computer kicks ass.
See, we're different. Kouhei bakes and I have the awesome toys.
Speaking of, Kouhei, I already decided how I'm building your laptop. Stop arguing.

Hey, Kamio-want to check out that rock club this weekend? It's better than all that techno crap Kouhei likes to drag me out to.
It's either that or studying or building my new desktop computer. Except I can't do much with it until I get the new CPU. Going quad-core this time, going to be sweet.

I want to be in the research side of Audiology. I've fucked around with electronics since I was a kid, and improving hearing aids and cochlear implants is interesting...but there's no way anyone's going to hear as well as me. Everything I hear tells me that I need to have a medical degree to get really far in the field, even though I already have all the technical knowledge. How boring.
...And then there's cutting up cadavers in med school. And I have to go to graduate school at least, anyway.
And apparently Kouhei has already made our plans for the weekend. The clubs in Osaka are pretty good.
